EXPERIENCE

At the Peak of Season

At Sushi Ryujiro, the setting is designed to elevate the dining experience. Natural materials, contemporary Japanese design and original paper art provide a quiet backdrop to the omakase, where seasonal ingredients and careful craftsmanship remain the centre of attention. It is a space intended to be experienced with the same sense of balance that defines the cuisine.

Earned Access

With ingredients and supplier relationships that cannot be purchased, we differentiate with meticulous ingredients sourcing earned through decades of trust with Japan’s finest producers.

Relationships with fishermen, seafood suppliers and artisan producers across Japan allow access to seasonal ingredients rarely available outside the country.

Prepared with Japanese water and seasoned with a carefully balanced blend of vinegars not commonly available outside Japan, the rice is shaped by the same principles that guide Sushi Ryujiro in Tokyo. Its character changes subtly with the season, providing the foundation for every piece served.

Space & Design

Sushi Ryujiro Singapore combines Japanese restraint with contemporary design.

At the reception, an original paper art installation by acclaimed Spanish paper artists Wanda Barcelona change with the light. Inspired by the fluid movement of the dragon (from a word in Ryujiro-san’s Japanese name) and the timeless elegance of Japanese pine trees, the sculpture was conceived as a living gesture flowing through the space.

Throughout the restaurant, the walls are treated with hand-finished Tsuchikabe, a material long associated with premium Japanese architecture. Its textured surface changes subtly with the light throughout the day, bringing warmth and depth.

Japanese hinoki counters anchor the two dining rooms, paired with Mile Stone White Ash chairs by renowned furniture maker, Asahi Wood.

Chosen for their natural warmth and comfort, the materials are intended to age elegantly with time.
